Just a thought. Stunning work though, beautiful pallette. I really need to get stuck into painter lol.

As I already written you in the messenger, this picture has very specific atmosphere that strongly reminds me one place nearby my town. Althought it's official name is "The Hell" it's beautiful natural place (especially in the spring) and I will have to look into history books why they picked such a name.

Looking to your picture, I have been thinking about composition (position of horizon) and was just about to speak about extension of the image upwards - to display more from the trees. But then I found it would decrease the atmosphere that came from the reflection in the water. So nevermind, I am satified with the result how it is

after seeing these comments i do agree, i think those in the boat should either be further to the right, or there should be something top right to balance the composition...

Nice fluttering of the dark cape. The water's got the right look to it, too.

Wow!!I like the colors and composition.I don't see any problem with composition.It's unusual,but I like it.Good work on water and on the things in the water,it looks great.The only crit that I have is trees.I agree with AH.They do look problematic.

I must agree with A-H though... the trees are indeed remarkably uniform - similar width, branch groups, branch heights etc. In an environment such as this (high humidity / thick organic waterways) the trees would usually be fighting each other for space and consequently becoming entwined, twisted etc... Look at the Everglades...

But that's just me, my opinion and probably my method Wouldn't do for us to all be the same, heh...
